Branding 
Branding is a means of marking the body with heat. Slaves were often branded so their owners could identify them as their property. In modern days cattle are now branded for the same reason. You can also find modern branding in African-American fraternities. As opposed to a symbol of slavery, they would brand their fraternal insignia, or Greek letters, into willing members as a symbol of empowerment and dedication to each other. You can also find modern brandings being done within the BDSM community, as symbols of commitment, love, and ownership. Branding is not limited to people in fraternities, special clubs or groups. Anyone can get branded for any reason. Body Branding is growing in popularity because of the recent social acceptance of other body modifications like tattoos and body piercing. Body Branding has now found its place in the body modification culture.
I perform 3 different types of Body Branding: Fire direct, Multi-strike, and Electro-cautery. Fire direct branding is a form using Tibetan incense to create “dots” on the skin. The incense slowly burns its way down into the body. This process is slow but surprisingly not too painful, used mainly in rituals and spiritual settings I highly recommended this form of branding, but it is limited to the design of a “dot”. Multi-strike, is a process using metal pieces that are heated up and pressed into the skin repeatedly following the outline of your design, one strike at a time. Electro-cautery branding is more modern, using a medical cautery unit the tip heats up and I literally draw on your branding.
