Piercing Piercing Experiences Facial & Oral Tongue Piercing
In one word? PAINLESS. Last week I went and had my tongue pierced. By far the most spontaneous thing I have ever done. I was inside a skate shop when I realized that nothing there interested me. Hoodies to be specific. So I was going to go to another skate shop downtown. But... as I was leaving the shop I noticed a piercing studio right next door.
I was curious, so I went in. There were a couple people walking around, I think they just had something pierced. I looked around at all the bars I could get if I were to get my tongue pierced. I saw tons of cool ones from glow in the dark to 4:20 to all that good stuff. The people who were in earlier had left and I walked up to the sexy girl who was standing at the counter. I asked how much it was to get my tongue pierced, she told me, I thought to myself, reached into my pocket, pulled out my wallet and asked if I could have it done right then and there. She looked at me kinda funny, smiled, and said ok.
She gave me a form to fill out and I was definitely shaky doing that. I could hardly write in a strait line! But I thought it's now or never.
Once I filled out the form and I met Rob, the pierced guy who was now going to pierce me. I started to become more relaxed. My tongue is the first thing I have ever pierced. I told this to the sexy girl, she smiled again and said it was all good. She loved hers and did it ever look sexy. If you ever are in Calgary, go see her. She’s a cute Brunette.
Anyhow, as I was saying.......Rob took me back to the dentist looking chair and I sat there waiting as he got everything ready. He was totally calm, I asked him a bunch of questions and he explained them all. He showed me every tool he would use, why he needed to use it, whether it would hurt or not, yadda yadda yadda, I watched him sterilize the bar and the tools were brand new. He put on gloves and then he told me to stick my tongue out.
He looked at it and I am short tongued a little bit so he informed me it might hurt a little bit more. I wasn't worried. He marked my tongue with a permanent black marker (which I got to keep for some strange reason) on the top and bottom of my tongue. Then he gave me some blue mouthwash and I cleaned out my mouth for about 30 seconds. He dried my tongue and marked it again. He went step by step, telling me what he was about to do. He told me the clamp would hurt the most, however it didn't hurt at all.
He told me to relax my tongue as much as possible, but not to bring it into my mouth. He mentioned that I should try to breathe normally, so I did. I wasn't nervous at this point. Just really excited. Before I knew it, he said that I would feel a little prick. Little prick?? What little prick? I didn't feel a thing. He slid the barbell
in, put the balls on, told me to swallow, and badda boom, done. I was so impressed. It didn't hurt.
He told me how to take care of it, basically just Listerine. I have read that non-alcoholic mouthwash is better, but I'm just doing what my personal piercer told me to do. It's been 3 days now and feels great.
I ate solid food the same day, that didn't hurt either. Of course it was a little softer than most....Calamari. Very easy to eat. I have had a lot of slurpees and popsicles, ice, to control the swelling. I took some pills to help too. But I don't think I needed them. I smoked bud about 3 hrs later and it was fine as long as I rinsed my mouth afterwards.
The next day I tried to eat nachos, but all I could eat was the cheese. Eggs are good so is yogurt. I just can't wait to be able to stick my tongue out all the way. The bottom ball just won't go over my bottom teeth yet, but I am hopeful it will be ok in a few days.
So that's my story. Probably one of the best things I have ever done, or will ever do. PAINLESS!!!! I think I might want something else pierced soon. We will see. I highly recommend you get it done if it's something you want to do. If you are in Calgary, very professional bee cool is a great place to do it. Highly recommended!
